Directions
"A Night In Old San Antonio" is held in the downtown historic arts village of La Villita (418 Villita, San Antonio, TX 78205). Located on the banks of the San Antonio River, and bounded by Alamo Street on the east, So. Presa Street on the west and E. Nueva Street on the south. La Villita was developed in the mid-to-late 1800s as a settlement adjacent to Mission San Antonio de Valero (The Alamo). Get detailed driving directions from the map on Contact Us / Staff page.
Parking
The City of San Antonio and private parking contractors provide a variety of lots within easy walking distance to NIOSA. Rates will vary.
Public Transportation
VIA, the San Antonio Public bus transportation system, offers Park & Ride service from several locations in the city. Visit VIA's Park & Ride for routes and fares information. River taxis provide transportation along the San Antonio River with stops convenient to NIOSA gates.
Bike Corral
The NIOSA Bike Corral will be located on S. Alamo & E. Nueva Street. Bring your own lock and chain. Bicycles only; no motorcycles. NIOSA/SACS is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited on the grounds of NIOSA by volunteers, media, or attendees. Please note that NIOSA does NOT provide a place to check these items:
- Weapons (including concealed weapons)
- Animals (see policy below for service animals)
- Baby strollers
- Ice chests
- Outside food & beverages
- Recreational wheels (i.e., scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, Heelys, etc.)
- Drones
- Folding chairs
- Smoking (NIOSA grounds fall under the City's non-smoking ordinance)
- Backpacks (see policy below)
Bags/Backpacks/Diaper Bags:
Large handbags and backpacks will not be allowed into NIOSA. Any bags, including diaper bags and backpacks, larger than 12"x12"x6" and backpacks are prohibited. We encourage the use of clear bags so that we can expedite entry into this event. Clear and mesh backpacks will be allowed. Prohibited bags will not be held nor checked-in at the gates. All bags brought into the event may be screened.
Service Dogs:
We welcome guests with disabilities and their service animals but have strict requirements that follow ADA guidelines i.e. the term “service animal” means any dog or miniature horse that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. (Miniature horses generally weigh between 70 and 100 pounds.) We reserve the right to refuse entry to a service animal that reacts aggressively to people, sounds, or other animals and thusly poses a direct threat to health and safety. NOTE: Emotional support, therapy, or comfort animals (that provide comfort just by being with a person) shall not be admitted to the event.
Trademarks:
Since 1948, the Conservation Society of San Antonio has used NIOSA® and A NIGHT IN OLD SAN ANTONIO® trademarks to identify our popular festival and its associated merchandise. Any use of NIOSA or “A Night In Old San Antonio” on medals or other uses (such as t-shirts, caps, advertising, events, websites, Facebook, and other social media outlets)—not explicitly authorized and/or created by the Conservation Society—is prohibited under the trademark laws of the United States.
Alcohol Policies:
- All attendees purchasing alcoholic beverages MUST present a valid ID (government-issued photo ID--military, state, or federal)—WE ID EVERYONE.
- There will be no alcohol sales to minors under the legal drinking age of 21.
- Alcoholic beverage sales stop at 10:00 p.m.
Notice Of Filming And Photography:
By entering the NIOSA premises and your presence at A Night In Old San Antonio, you consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded by media, NIOSA staff and/or contractors and to any use in any, and all, media in perpetuity without payment, royalties, compensation or any other consideration. You understand that all photography, filming, and/or recording will be done in reliance on the consent given by you entering this area. If you do not agree with the foregoing, do not enter this area.
